Quote

Humongous Chicken is an enormous chicken in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. He was a one time villain who pesters Elmo when he attempts to get to Huxley's castle to obtain his stolen blanket. He mistakes Elmo a red worm when Elmo tries to inform him and sing I'm a Little Teapot to prove he's not one and then he thinks he's a tea and declares that he is unable to have tea. He throws Elmo off the tree branch afterwards.

He is a normal sized puppet, but was superimposed on the landscape to make him appear as a giant chicken.

In 2004 where the puppet was renamed "Super Chicken", he returns on an episode of the Sesame Street series where he arrives when a chicken cluck was summoned. He also appeared on Episode 4105 and Episode 4176 (with a sidekick of Robin).

On subsequent episodes of the show, Humongous Chicken appears with eyelids applied to the puppet. An alternative puppet similar to the original puppet design was made without eyelids. The puppet appeared on international co-productions of Sesame Street including SesamstrasseShalom Sesameand The Furchester Hotel.
